"[James] brings passion, energy and a sense of fun to work every day. His knowledge is vast, across Creative and Experience technologies. He actively looks for how our solutions can drive the best innovative value for our customers. James is a great team member and looks out for those he works with. An example would be making sure internal and external communications are accessible to his coworkers with visual impairments so that everyone feels included and successful. James also gives back to his community actively judging robot and design contests to create the next group of innovative folks and imbues upon them his irrepressible energy and passion. Adobe is better with James."
Thank you for all your support to make a difference for our students through the 1stGenYale emerging Shared Interest / Identity Group. Our two pilot events on-campus to date -- Freshmen Scholars at Yale (FSY, July 30, 2016) and recently, Career Connections (November 10, 2016) -- both had over 100 alumni and students networking and developing meaningful friendships. While we are in the planning stages for future events, here is a wonderful opportunity for you to connect with current students wherever you live.
I am thrilled to invite you to participate in our AYA Alumni-Students Pilot Mentoring Program. Yale students are eager for interaction with alums, and many of our alums from Yale College, Graduate & Professional Schools are very interested in networking with students. Our goal -- this year -- is to scale up last year's AYA’s Career, Life, and Yale (CLY) and Students and Alumni of Yale (STAY) jointly sponsored pilot program in preparation for an ongoing, campus-wide mentoring program available for all Yale students over the next few years. We need your help to build this exciting program!
If you would like to mentor a student at Yale, please complete this brief survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MentorPilot2by December 12. The preamble to the survey includes more information. The survey itself will only take you only a few minutes. I just signed up myself and hope that you will join in this effort!
Because we will start with a small group of students, there is no guarantee that all alums will be matched with a student this year.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, Nancy Stratford (email@example.com) or Steve Blum (firstname.lastname@example.org), who are in charge of this program for the AYA. Thank you very much for your interest. Be sure to share this wonderful opportunity to be a mentor with your fellow alumni friends, too!
